Title: All the Salt in My Lungs
Word length: 7, 238
Warnings: rpf. light angst. romance. Charlene Kaye cameo, i suppose, for those who have some sort of aversion toward her. (Darren/Charlene friendship only.)
Disclaimer: i make no profit from this work of fiction. and it is just that - a very creatively licensed work of fiction that did not happen and is entirely made up by my over-active imagination. both Chris and Darren are actual people and this is not Stranger Than Fiction so this is not true, real, nor dictating or documenting anyone’s actual life, etc, etc.
Summary: Chris sort of enthralls people and Darren can confirm this because he has personal experience with that. Also, Darren’s a bit obtuse when it comes to deciphering his own emotions and Charlene gives him a much-needed kick.
long-winded a/n: yet again, i have no idea why i’m letting myself post this with the authors out there writing CrissColfer with a truly intimidating amount of talent. okay, alright, well, i do hope you enjoy this anyway. don’t be afraid to let me know if you do – i like to hear it, of course.(:
endless gratitude to certaintendencies, who, yet again, helped with some key parts. this really would be much worse without her. and to pinkmochacappuccino, my wonderful, wonderful beta who managed to turn this chaotic mess into something presentable. they also dealt with me while I panicked in their emails because they are lovely like that. you are both beautiful human beings. :D
Music: a lot of this was written to Mumford and Son’s Below My Feet and Right Away Great Captain’s Down To Your Soul. title comes from the latter. also these songs are relevant – here (dance scenes are written with these songs playing/in mind. feel free to play them when the scenes come up, if you so wish.) click the links to download.
